Olympic Moves
Olympic Moves (now TeamNL Moves) is the largest school sports competition in the Netherlands. That means you want shirts that feel right straight away. Shirts you can move in, stand out in, and that add that little bit extra to the day. For NOC*NSF, it was about more than just providing clothing. The shirts had to be functional for use during the event, but also have enough character to give participants something memorable to take home afterwards.

Practical yet stylish
The brief was straightforward: the shirts had to be comfortable for the various roles involved in the event, from athletes to coaches, crew, managers and referees. At the same time, NOC*NSF was looking for merchandise that didn’t come across as off-the-shelf, instead reflecting the spirit of the day.

From briefing to proposal
To get a clear picture of exactly what was needed, we organised a brainstorming session. Based on that input, the Compacon studio developed a proposal featuring suitable items and concepts that aligned with the event, the target audience and the Olympic values of NOC*NSF. This resulted in sports shirts with a clear, energetic appearance. Eye-catching colours, a recognisable look and a design that works well at a sporting event for young people.
Created for the event (and lasting memories)
First and foremost, the shirts simply had to perform well on the day itself. But they were also given a second role: to provide a tangible memento of the experience. It was precisely this combination that made this case interesting. It wasn’t just about clothing for on the pitch, but clothing that forms part of what such a day looks like and how it is remembered.
A first collaboration that hit the mark perfectly
The project led to an initial order for NOC*NSF, with sports shirts and merchandise that perfectly matched the brief. This case clearly demonstrates what happens when functionality and experience reinforce each other. A sports shirt then becomes more than just a practical item. It helps to create an event that feels just right: visible, energetic and tightly organised.
