During the holidays, we’re all looking for warmth, comfort, and coziness. These are values that perfectly match Plaza’s welcoming atmosphere. So for this national franchise, Christmas is the perfect moment to do something special for our guests. The result in 2024? A custom-made Plaza Christmas chalet that not only rewards loyalty but also serves as a tangible reminder of the Plaza experience.
Customer request
After the success of the Piekandel in 2023, Plaza was once again looking for a new, eye-catching Christmas gift in 2024. This time, the focus wasn’t on a viral stunt, but on a gift that encourages loyalty and pleasantly surprises returning guests. It needed to be an item that truly fits Plaza and that guests would take home to give a place among their Christmas decorations.
The concept
The concept of the Plaza Christmas Chalet was born — a miniature house that reflects Plaza’s warm and welcoming atmosphere. The design features subtle snack icons, the Plaza logo, and the brand’s iconic colors. This item is more than just a gift; it’s an extension of the Plaza experience, reminding customers of the place they love to visit, even when they’re at home.

The challenge
Designing and producing a personalized Christmas chalet brought several challenges. The design needed to be instantly recognizable as a Plaza location, without becoming too complex or too costly to manufacture. It also had to be high-quality and have a festive appearance. With a short lead time, rigorous management of the production process was essential.
Compacon managed the entire process: from concept to production and distribution. The Plaza Christmas chalets were distributed to all locations, where they were picked up by customers in no time. The item was not only enthusiastically received by regular guests, but was also used in prize promotions and social media campaigns. Online engagement grew, and a natural buzz arose around the chalet. Customers even added the item to their Christmas villages and asked whether a smaller version was available to hang in their Christmas tree.
With this successful campaign, Plaza strengthened its brand awareness and added an extra layer of experience to the holiday season. With this campaign, Plaza once again shows that cafeterias are much more than just a place to grab your favorite snack.
